Converting TabletPC keyboard/mouse into something useful.

I needed tiny keyboards with pointing device for my car and bedroom - I came across some very cheap Compaq TabletPC keyboards with an odd connector and converted it into something useful :)  These keyboards are fully USB HID compliant for both mouse and keyboard functions, and do not need any drivers.


The first picture shows original keyboard - and a modified one, nearly half the size of the original..




This is the original cable (the blue ribbon-cable)   - some of these 8 wires are USB.
